While strolling the streets of Paris you can discover the most amazing places to eat, drink, shop. Here are my picks:

Ferdi, 32 Rue du Mont Thabor

A small and cozy place with amazing food that includes everything from Venezuelan tapas to signature burgers. Try the meatballs. Try the ceviche. If you order the burger get it with the fried egg.

Marius et Janette, 4, Avenue, Rue George V (www.mariusetjanette.com)

An amazing seafood restaurant. Try the cod!

Chez L’Amis Louis, 32 Rue du Vertbois

A truly Parisian classic! Persevere for a reservation and if you manage to get a table… order the escargots, the fois grass and the amazing roast chicken.

Café de Flore, 172 Boulevard Saint-Germain (www.cafedeflore.fr)

This cafe is a renowned hangout amongst Parisians. Its literary history, the understated Art deco style, the Parisian crowd are what make this café such an intriguing place. Go there for breakfast, afternoon coffee or for a glass of wine at night.

Hotel Costes, 239-241, Rue Saint-Honore (www.hotelcostes.com)

Sit in the courtyard, eat, drink and enjoy the ambience. The music, the decor, the people… all is beautiful. Try Le Tigre!

Avenue Montaigne

If you are up for some serious spending head towards Avenue Montaigne and you will find all the luxury fashion shops such as Louis Vuitton, Celine, Chanel, Valentino, Prada, Fendi etc.

On the same street you cannot miss L’Avenue restaurant known for its celebrity clientele and pricey food menu. Nonetheless, the food is really good (this restaurant is under the same management as Hotel Costes, so the food menu is the same).

…Back to shopping

Rue Saint-Honore

You can find all the above and many more luxury fashion shops on Rue Saint-Honore mixed with some more reasonably priced Parisian brands such as Sandro, Maje as well as major lifestyle brands such as zara.

Colette, 213, Rue Saint-Honore (www.colette.fr)

Colette is an edgy concept store that includes everything eclectic from books, music, electronics, jewellery, beauty products and fashion. This shop is always packed… and if you are into fashionable people viewing, sit at the Restaurant and Water Bar in the basement of Colette or at the café across the street and you won’t be disappointed (I spotted the man himself, Karl Lagerfeld just down the street from Colette).
